"la" Claude and her husband Normand Choquette bought this barn in 1990. Slowly but surely, they transformed this barn into a wonderful home and workshop-museum, which they live in since september 1992. The barn "la" Claude was built by an Irish immigrant, Mr. Jim McBride, in the second half of the 19th century. The strength of the frame and the ornamentation of the façade re: windows, gives you an idea of the patience and most of all the talent of this man. This huge structure was moved 3 times before landing here, on "la Petite Caroline". Now transformed into a relaxing place with its apple trees and all the wild flowers around, this barn is peaceful inside and out.
